About us

Formerly Tayside Police Choir (founded 2010) and Strathclyde Police Choir (founded 2012), we have gone from strength to strength and with changes to the national police force, we became the Scottish Police & Community Choir in 2013.  We perform at fundraisers, charity functions, memorial events, weddings and celebrations of all kinds, both local and national.  In the past we have supported CHAS at Rachel House, Kinross, Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance, Playlist For Life , RNLI, SAMH, Guide Dogs for The Blind, Yorkhill Hospital, British Heart Foundation, Maggies Dundee, Mindspace and Perth Autism Support to name a few.

To check availability and to discuss booking us for your event, please contact us by email.

We currently have rehearsals in Perth (covers all of the Tayside, Fife, Central area) and Glasgow (covering Strathclyde area) and both sections meet up on a regular basis for a joint rehearsal.  Our Musical Director for the Perth region is Dougie Flower.  Stephanie Strachan is our Musical Director for the Glasgow region.

How do I join?

Come along to a rehearsal and see how you get on. If you like us and want to come and sing, then we will sign you up!

There is a simple vetting procedure to complete because we are a Police choir.

We have a low monthly subscription of £20. You will receive a choir T shirt (which we wear for our more low key performances) and the men will also be given a tie for more formal events.

This subscription also covers all rehearsal costs and some transport costs for events outwith our normal rehearsal area. It all covers some extra special events such as professional recording and bespoke workshops for the benefit of members.
